Illustration- more things done.

Going to put up a few things we did in class up here-

Dogs and rocks, which is what we did as an exercise. As you can see, I cannot draw rocks. However we had to try and make them as 'natural' as we could, which I didn't really achieve.

This tree we made the other week we made using the mixer brush techniques which is when we sampled different portions of a texture (I just made a sphere and shaded it)

Game Design

Chinese Checkers is a game. A board game. Like so;

Alright, that was vague; Chinese Checkers is a strategy game played with six players. Halma was that this game was originally, until it was made simpler for main stream players. Basically you gotta try and get your balls into the triangle opposite yours, via small hops of each sphere. The balls can hope over each other and so on.

Anyway, I picked Chinese Checkers over Snakes and Ladders mainly because I find Snakes and Ladder so damn boring. For my designs, I'm going to incorporate Lung dragons AKA Chinese dragons for the art work.

A dragon will be 'guarding' their own triangle, with their heads and forepaws being on the slab. They may also have the rest of their bodies going around the rest of the board (maybe interlinking with one another)

Each of the dragons will be based on a particular element, based on the Six Elements. These elements are Earth, Water, Fire, Wind, Space and Consciousness which are based on the Chinese Buddhist Elements. (There is also Earth, Water, Fire, Wind, Metal and Consciousness in another scenario. I'll decide with ones to incorporate.)

The center of the board will showcase a giant pearl/egg, which are a typical constant for the Imperial Dragons.
Could so maybe do that for the balls, or even turn them into eyes.

Illustration- Clocks

So I deiced to simply update my blog with my illustration information and drafts, since I'm too broke to afford a new book and I can't find a spare one at home.

For our first assignment we have to design a clock face, and Snakes and Ladder/Chinese Checkers game board. I've chosen Chinese Checkers, mainly because that game is more interesting and versatile to play compared with Snakes and Ladders.

With my clock I'm choosing a 'basic' design, without numbers (though it still has the notches signalling them) and am most likely going to do a square face (to fit more on)

Also been looking up some clocks to try and get a basic idea for what I want or how I'll go about it.

Then I've been screwing about with some concept designs for my Clock assignment, trying to find something that fits;

Water Exercises

We started off learning about RealFlow. It crashed. Many, many times.

But we did make some pretty wave simulations;

And then we created a ball and used gravity to drop it into the water to have it create waves.

Well, for some reason the water vanished. Oh well.
